We are- Philip Battle & Catherine McMahon, both Liverpool, UK based contemporary artists who in 1997 decided to take our work onto the streets, this became our canvas, our gallery and workshop!

Masters of Visual Pavement Art, innovative workshop artists and events organisors, we create works that would grace any gallery of Modern Art. Involving up to hundreds of ordinary people; adults, families and children at any given event. We help create art that has no ego, full ownership is given to the people who help produce the work, a true collaboration between the artists and the public! People have the opportunity to leave their mark, be part of something bigger than themselves and creatively play on the streets! All the works presented on this site have been created this way and bare witness to the often latent, creative spirit that exists in everybody. Given the opportunities, we can all become artists!

We have worked all over the UK, Channel Islands, Ireland, Europe, Bahrain, Singapore and Dubai.

Between 1998 and 2003 we organised the UK's only annual Festival of Visual Street Art and The Adrian Henri Street Art Awards.

Currently we organise the James Carling International Pavement Art Competition in Liverpool.

All work is ephemeral and exists for the moment, nothing lasts forever!
