Kevin was born and raised in a small ship building town called Greenock, about 30 miles West of Glasgow, Scotland. He has been painting since the age of 10 with a serious interest developing from about the age of 15. After schooling he studied Interior Design in Glasgow, turning his back on traditional fine art teachings and this has clearly influenced his style and thoughts on what it is to be an artist. He achieved various national awards during his studies but all along he knew his path did not lie down the interior design road but had only a passion for painting. After graduating he worked in the field of Film/Theatre set design on various projects but soon after this the paintings began to become his life and he has never looked back… Kevin specializes in representational to abstract paintings in Oil depicting Landscape / Atmosphere / Emotion often influenced by the River Clyde, Travel, Film and Music using it as a release…
