I am a Contemporary artist based in Northumberland. Having worked and travelled extensively in the Middle East, I became inspired by the depth of colour, texture and light of the landscape, the markets and spice stalls. In contrast to the spice and heat of my travels, home in Northumberland provides the earthy chocolate bogginess of ploughed fields and damp, muddy tracks. I am inspired by my past, my present and the landscape of my life. My paintings usually start with a colour and then evolve into compositions in which texture is the primary subject. Hi there, so this is what your work looks like. Good use of the oils to create depth and texture. The more floral images aren't to my taste but the landscapes are suitably muddy. Are you represented by any gallery? J xx
