Exhibits explore the idea of people having the power to destroy beautiful things, but that they also have the ability to rebuild them and sometimes make them more beautiful than before. In each print an original photograph is destroyed or manipulated in some way, then repaired or embellished, and then captured on a white background. A 3-dimensional effect from the shadows and additional materials on the original provokes the viewer to look again and notice that the sellotape, staples, burning, liquid etc are a real part of the image and not a Photoshop manipulation.
