My work is a combination of photographic and artistic manipulation using digital media. I like to use vivid, highly saturated colors to explore the sweeping curves and odd angles of familiar and unfamiliar items. My artistry involves a total process. Starting with the camera, choosing targets and the lighting that will best capture my vision, the work then continues bringing out the desired effects and colors with the final step being the presentation. I press my photographs between thick blocks of acrylic to get a specific light and color intensity. Acrylic has a higher light transmission than glass and makes the printed colours seem sharper, more brilliant, more intense, and further enhances the reflective qualities of my art.
