Born in Herefordshire near the border town of Hay-on-Wye in 1972, I was interested in art from an early age at school and felt inspired by the beautiful rural surroundings. Later, a developing passion for "Dungeons and Dragons" gave rise to the painting of fantastic characters, a natural step towards an interest in portraiture, I suppose, feeling the need to bring out true inner personality and emotion. Although I have a strong desire to develop as a portrait painter, it is the return to nature where I have concentrated recent efforts - painting sky scapes with fantastic sunsets, woodlands and close up details of popular garden and wild flowers. www.darkenvironmentalcolour.co.uk
