Deborah Waller Deborah Waller

Debbie studied Graphic graduated from both Bournemouth and Exeter colleges of art before running her own graphic design business from 1988-2004. In 2004 she moved to the centre of France to become a full time painter.

Her inspiration has always been drawn from the landscape, the sea and the sky. Her techniques vary depending on the materials she uses from oil, acrylics, watercolour, inks to collage and mixed media.

Her latest projects include painting the landscapes found along the River Loire from source to sea - something that will around 2 years to complete.

A local project now underway is a detailed study of local woodland, trees and hedgerows throughout the changing seasons. Over the next 9 months I will be sketching and painting "plein air". I will be using a variety of media including oils, inks, mixed, printmaking and collage to depict the changing seasons, the atmospheric conditions, the textures and abstract qualities of wood, water and stone found on location. The first exhibition of these paintings and sketches will be at Nohant Vic, Indre, France in May 7 - 20, 2009.

During the year I run full board residential art courses and painting holidays.
