About Me

Recently graduated with a First in Fine Art, my work is mainly sculptural, I am currently working with textiles as a three dimensional medium. My earlier work was inspired by Claes Oldenburgs soft sculptures; my current work differs in that I dont exploit the dynamic of flaccidity, but use textiles to create apparently rigid forms. I am not sure where this medium will take me, I have tentative ideas, but nothing has grabbed me yet. I would really like to explore the possibilities of printing my own fabrics prior to use in sculptural forms, but without the screen-printing facilities neccesary to realise this, I am having to think along other lines.
