About Me

A Polish born, middle aged artist, philosopher and traveller. Restless and pessimistic, searching for something that cannot be named or found. He blends in his art stylistic features of abstraction, surrealism, magic realism and modern primitivism to create his distinctive style. The most characteristic elements of it are strong outlines, vivid colours, simplified forms. He seeks inspiration in all artistic traditions of the past and present times, to name a few: in archaic art of Greece and Anatolia, early Renaissance primitives, Byzantine icons, Romanesque sculpture and stained glass, Polish folk woodcuts, etc. Therefore he calls his art "anthropologism", aiming at exploration and synthesis of the visual content of modern man's mind. Highly individualistic and independent character, he keeps away from any form of group artistic life. Works mostly in the medium of watercolors on paper, but has created several sculptures and reliefs made of wood, scrap metal and plastic junk. Presently lives in a little town in the west of Poland.
