Based in Stockport, Cheshire, I am a self taught watercolour artist and enjoy painting as a hobby and an escape from work.

I used to love painting when I was at school but stopped due to work commitment. I started again in later years when my wife bought me a watercolour set as a present and now paint whenever possible for relaxation.

My favourite painting subject is landscapes. I am happiest using watercolour as I feel it is particularly suited to creating atmospheric scenes. I like to have a feel for the area that I am painting, so most of my artwork is based around the North of England and Scotland.
