I live on the south coast of England and love painting many aspects of the surrounding area. I specialise in portraiture - people, pets and places - but with an enjoyment painting absolutely anything and everything. I feel sticking solely to one subject limits me as an artist.

Although I use many media including oils, pastels and pencils, I prefer to use acrylics in my work as they dry quickly and allow me to work rapidy and flow with my impulses. Acrylics also allow the build up of many fine layers of paint, a technique I often use, in a time period that isn't financially restrictive to the client as would be the case with oils.

Portraiture, alongside my wife, is my love. A face, be it human, canine or equine, in my opinion, is the most fulfilling subject matter. Each one unique with it's own interesting characteristics.
