I started painting as a hobby in 2004 and have sold about 50 paintings to date. Many of these have been commisioned through recommendation and as they are all original pieces they can be taylored to the buyers choice of colour. I have produced work for show houses on new construction developments and also furnished a house from top to bottom with artwork to compliment the owners furniture. I work with acrylic on chunky canvas and I am inspired by colour and texture which manifests itself in my work. Sometimes a stressfull period in my life has produced a particularly vigorous painting which has been a theraputic way of letting off steam!! I view the larger canvases as furniture rather than art as they can make a feature of large areas where there may not be enough floor space for actual furniture. Prices have ranged from £100 -£360 according to the canavs size and I have exhibited in local art galleries where the response so far has been excellent.
