Working mainly in oil on canvas, I am drawn to basic-shaped objects, placing them in unfamiliar juxtapositions. There is something very attractive and universal in the quiet and unassertive; of attempting the reduction of phenomena to their elements in a pictorial form. Also with colour; reducing it, minimising it, ever in the quest of those quintessential notes/tones, the subatomic vibrations of existence. I live and work in Norfolk, exhibiting mainly in local galleries these days and my own studio.
