I am a wildlife woodcarver -fulltime from Michigan,USA. I have carved birds for 33 years and have won numerous competitions and best of shows. My work can be found in collections worldwide. I hand carve each bird from wood. Texturing is then accomplished by hand burning each feather line,some birds having as many as 100,000 lines.I then hand paint with acrylics using a series of wash coats over the burned surface texture.The bird is then mounted in a natural setting.
