After studying Art & Design at college and completing a BA Hons Degree in Textiles, I initially worked as a free-lance designer. I now spend my time painting and running an art department. I am passionate about my teaching and enjoy seeing students develop their own love of making art. I currently live and work in Thailand which is a fantastic source of inspiration for my own work. I am constantly developing my own portfolio of work and have taken part in solo and group exhibitions in the UK and Thailand. At the moment, I tend to work mainly with oil painting and mixed media on canvas but previously have worked with textiles and fashion. Each environment I am exposed to influences my work and I find inspiration in the everyday and mundane, as well as the quirky and unusual sights one may see. Recently, I have started using photography and computer software to help me develop my initial ideas.
