David Watkins

I'm now older than I was when I first joined this site and I have not been active in the painting studio for some time. I often suffer from periods when I don't paint at all...and the last year has been one of them. I have played the drums as often as I could and I hope I can continue to do so, but the need to paint and create new images is starting once again to fire my creative engine. As I said, for the last year or so pictorial art has been at a mere tick over, but I have been collecting ideas and themes and images in my head. These all act as a starting point....they were just a long time coming. Rather than lose the original text I had here.....for it is still relevant...... I shall try to include it elsewhere on this site. I suppoae a good place to start would be the Blog section so I'll try to paste it there. Hopefully that will work, and I shall try to use the Bog section with little snippets of the things that hopefully make me tick. If you, the reader, wishes to indulge in some sort of conversation or discussion then please do on those pages........I don't bite !! If you don't ...then I'll just ramble on about my art....as more often than not........those ramblings may lead me closer to hidden artistic intentions.
