I was born in 1970 in Kirkcaldy, Fife and although a proud Fifer, my roots are firmly embedded in the Hebrides and North West of Scotland.

My work is influenced primarily by my love of nature and wildlife. The intense colours, perpetually changing light, perfect forms and dramatic land and seascapes of the natural world of my homeland are a constant source of fascination and inspiration.

I use a variety of media depending on the mood or atmosphere I wish to reflect. I often work in acrylics to capture the vivid hues of a dramatic Hebridean sunset. I may use pastel to create a softer mood or sometimes oils for seamless blending of colours in a portrait. I find portraits of loved ones and pets prove ever popular and I thoroughly enjoy this aspect of my work.
