Stephen J. Vattimo born and raise around in the Philadelphia area.Grew up in a boarding school in Audubon Pa. Attend Plymouth White Marsh public High school, and Central Montgomery Vocational school, where he studied Commercial Art. During High school he was a member of Civil Air Patrol . After high school He joined the army reserves, where he was trained as a combat engineer. After a year , he joined the Pa. National Army Guard, where he was trained as a Anti tank crewman, tow missile gunner. Five year later he joined the U.S. Army for four years, as a combat medic. All together he serve his country in the military for thirteen years. when He came out of the military he worked for a sign company for two years, then he work in the electrical field for about nine year doing residential and commercial electric. he then went into telecommunication were he has been working in this field for over tree years, and is still working in this field. Stephen's interests out side of work are, art, writing poetry, writing , promoting his work, reading about History,current event,politics. Stephen J. Vattimo, started drawling around seven year old. His first art contest was on the Captain Noah show, where he was award a year membership to the Philadelphia Zoo. When he was ten years old he had his first public sale of his art, it was a mix media, of two birds siting on a branch, is was bought to be shows in a show case house. He receive a dollar for this piece. when he was fourteen he had staff at the boarding school commissioning him do do painting for them, making fifteen dollars a painting. He started his paint career, with water color, and oils, but had to stop working with oils because he was poisoned while working with them. At the age of sixteen to eighteen, his family would vacation at Captiva Island, where he was commission by very rich, and the very famous people, to do renderings of their yachts, in Pen and Ink, or water color. while at the island everyone knew him as the artist, and would come up to his family and tell his parent how talented their son was. In his late twenties he was fascinated by Christian musician, how they use their talent to spread the gospel of Christ, and he prayed God would enable him to use his art, to reach people for Christ. The first couple of Christian painting he did was while he was serving in the military, where entered in the Ft. Lewis post art show, that juried by some well known artists,award my entries with first prize, and special mention . while he was in the service, he also prayed that God would give him the gift to write poetry,he to this day has written over forty spiritual poems.
