I was born in Oporto, Portugal in 1947, but I didn't follow an artistic career, by family reasons. In fact I took a University degree in English and German languages, history and linguistics. However, after my graduation I began to paint with the help of a Portuguese artist, who taught me how to approach a canvas. I had drawn since I was a little girl- specially portraits, but from that day on I began to be interested in Nature:landscapes, gardens, flowers. I also painted my hometown very often. Since 1979, the year I began exhibiting my work, I've done more than 400 hundred paintings and had 15 exhibitions, here in Portugal. I never left my country to do that, but somehow I feel it's time to give a jump, now. I sincerely hope you like my work and, please, feel free to contact me.
