    For Immediate Release NEW YORK, NY – Three new exhibitions are coming to Agora Gallery, bringing with them a refreshing sense of peace, novelty and pleasure that are sure to invigorate visitors despite the summer’s heat. Opening on July 26, 2011 and continuing until August 16, 2011, A Maze of Milieu, Interpretive Realms and The Portal of Tranquility are a must-see for anyone looking to be reminded of the wonder of the world. The opening reception takes place on Thursday July 28, 2011. As usual, entrance is free and art enthusiasts are cordially invited.     The Pittenweem Arts Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year and is a celebration of visual arts taking place in homes, galleries and public venues throughout Pittenweem. It features painting, sculpture, environmental art and textiles, with a series of workshops and evening events for adults and children. Catriona is currently exhibiting some of her latest work at Heron Gallery, High Street, Pittenweem.

    For Immediate Release August at Agora Gallery can only mean one thing – The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition! Agora Gallery is proud to host this annual event, showcasing powerful contemporary works chosen by the competition’s juror. The 2011 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition will take place between August 19, 2011 and September 9, 2011. The opening reception will be on August 25, 2011. The 2011 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition exhibition showcases the remarkable artwork of juror-selected artists from around the world. These talented artists work in a range of media and explore a wide variety of subjects and themes, united by their shared commitment to sincerity of expression and creative eloquence. They were chosen by competition juror Elisabeth Sherman, curatorial assistant at the Whitney Museum of American Art and together their works represent what is most exciting and innovative about contemporary art. As part of an ongoing commitment to “giving back to the community we live and work in,” Agora Gallery will be donating 25% of its proceeds of the sale of artwork from the competition exhibition to the non-profit organization Art Start. Through its innovative programs, Art Start brings together art, artists and children in need throughout the Metropolitan Area.
