House Portraits in Watercolour

Each watercolour was created from photos supplied by the client.

Ideally a single photo should show all extremities of the building and some of the immediate surroundings.  If this is not possible, I can usually work from a series of photos.

There is  no need to tidy up before taking photos for me.  Anything not belonging will disappear, as will satellite dishes and wheelie bins.  Hanging baskets will be in full bloom.  In short, your home will be looking its best.

The shape and environment of a house will deterimine the shape of the painting.  I aim to finish with a painting approximately 8 x 10 inches.  I offer the painting unframed and unmounted.  Bear in mind that in a good mount and a fine frame, a painting of this size will finish up about 14 x 16 inches framed.

I know that it's a big step to commission a painting, but I try to make it as simple and painless as possible.  I will only give the go ahead if I am sure that I have enough information and reference to create an accurate and beautiful painting.

Please send me a message with your thoughts, requirements or concerns and we'll see what we can sort out between us...

Lots more paintings and further details can be found on my website rob-thorpe.co.uk
