Cat sitting and cleaning its paw. The patination on the light areas of the cat are a cold wash of liver of sulphur and the dark areas are a repeated hot application of liver of sulphur. The base is liver of sulphur applied hot, followed by dabbing with cupric nitrate. The cat is modelled from pictures of our family cat that died aged approx 25 yrs old, and deserved I felt some kind of recognition. This is a limited edition of only 20. As each bronze is hand finished there is variation in the patination between each one. |
