Lure of the Desert
Content for part this exhibition was taken from Christa’s recent visit to the Southwest of the United States. The desert has always been a spiritual place for her. Seemingly barren; sun, sand, animal, rock and plant, coexist in a beauty not found elsewhere. Her long romance with the desert began in 1993 when she worked for architect Paolo Soleri at Arcosanti, Arizona. Since then, she has been lured back many times to breathe the dry air, to marvel at the colors, and to capture the soul of the desert.
