I have never been comfortable drawing people as i attempted to draw a friend when i was much younger and it looked more like an alien than my friend :)
From that day i never had the confidence to attempt drawing a person, until recently when a work colleague saw me drawing one of my animal pieces and asked if i would draw a picture of her son for her.
i took up the challenge and feel that it actually turned out to be one of the best drawings i had ever created.
From that, another colleague asked if i would draw a picture of his daughter for him.
i have since discovered that there is a lucrative market for such piece of work but have; unfortunately; not been asked to do such a picture since.
