Anyone that has been to the Scottish Highlands will have noticed that there always seems to be a purple glow that tints the landscape whether it is the Scottish heather that does this is disputed. However with this in mind I thought I would paint this much loved castle using purples as the base colours this also had the desired effect of making the castle stand out even more in the painting. |
