I am a self taught artist and have been producing artwork from an early age. I find the creative process extremely therapeutic and enjoyable, art has the ability to relax or excite me depending on what I'm painting. I love art and cannot imagine my life without it. I enjoy working in all mediums but acrylics and oil pastels are my favourite, I love the bright colours and rough textured look that oil pastels bring to a piece and the versatility and permanence of acrylics. I am currently experimenting with using acrylics on a variety of surfaces and finding new ways to apply the paint. When I am in a creative mood I tend to withdraw from real life and spend my days in my own little world painting intensely, sometimes for whole months at a time! Luckily I have an understanding partner who looks after the practical side of life during these periods.
